I'm seconding this.
Also, I was recently thinking "backwards"...
See, we know the achievement unlocks if you trigger some kind of event in the game. Suppose Vanishing Point is the end of the road, what could we try in the game to see if something happens, with the information we have? Typing 1/600 in some specific day? Someone noted every remarkable aspect of the film. Seems like the character goes 'the other way' in the library, and I also figured you can "jump back" in every conversation, like a platformer game. Maybe jumping back and forth in a specific point? I'm remembering this kind of "cheats", like in the NES game Circus Charlie, where you jump back and forth a pot of fire, and a coin flies in the air, and if you manage to catch it, well you'll be "securing the bag", you know...
I like it.
I personally occasionally went back to the beginning of a day just to see if something new popped up while I was playing the game.
The issue though?
We can't test it because the game has yet to be patched with the trigger for the achievement.
There is something we must do OUT OF GAME to show the dev that we figured it out before he gives us access to do it in game... or so he said anyways.
On April 29th, both dev's made weird announcments that probably could have been handled via text instead of announced on social media:
But, more importantly (or weirdly?), were these two pokemon pictures that are on all of Sheenan's socials? Like, he might just be really proud of them, but Weston did comment on one with "I think you dropped this 🏆"
I can't make anything of it - and I certainly can't make it connect to the "samandjack" clue - so I didn't want to mention it. I'm just really stuck (like the rest of us).
P.S. Not that anything means anything, but also this? https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/311385999/ Because"Route 216 Nighttime Candid" + "Artwork by me but you hear route 216 music"???
As far as I understood, we are going to get notified by @westonbdev when we reached the solution, as he seems to be reading all of these comments, and then he will proceed to patch the game, in order for the achievement to be unlocked. Is that correct? If we don't get to the solution, or we don't get news from the dev, then we are to continue looking for it
That makes sense... Anyone else agree?
Yes exacly. We need to finish the arg and then he will path the game with the achievement trigger.
I have been reading and following everything on this thread.

It's the sound you make after hours of pouring your heart and soul into this puzzle and realizing you have no hair left because you tore it all out
"ARGGGGG!!!!"
