When I first started the demo I didn't realize that I had soldiers so I just sent the magician that the tutorial has you make to kill spiders in the mine by himself. (I saw some archers during the defense, but they never showed up in my villager list when i assigned jobs. I thought they just spawned out of nowhere at night.) This spider hunting trip didn't go very well for the magician. (I couldn't make a new one in the building afterwards. Might be a bug?) It would be nice if it was clearer that I had regular soldiers available.
Later I didn't quite know how to train soldiers. I cued up some soldiers but they didn't train. Did I need to have an armory? Did I need to have weapons? It would be nice if I could see the requirements in a either a guide or a tooltip.
Also, I saw that there were three different crop resources. The game doesn't explain if there are any differences between them. Are there any?
Hello, thanks for your feedback!
You can't assign soldiers to workplaces so that's why the ydidn't show up on the list. I will make it clear on the next update which should happen tonight or tomorrow.
And yes you need to have weapons, which are indeed stored in armory. I will add a guide explaining that as well.
There are no differences between crops except that you may need them for different things. Like some quest, trade route, or production building may require different crops.
As for the food calculation, that's pretty hard to calculate as it depends on so many factors and kinda dynamic. But I will see what I can do
Oh, I don't mean a prediction of how much food I will produce in the future. I'd just like something that shows how much food was produced and eaten on the previous day. That way I could see if I'm stockpiling food or eating into my reserves.
Ahh I see now. Yeah that sounds like a good idea! I will implement it so thank you
It's really good when you see so many new game demo's getting smashed with negativity and grumblings.
