Game won't run?

This is an old favorite of mine and I was looking forward to playing it, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've downloaded & installed the game, but when I try to play the game won't actually launch. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling & restarting my computer and the game just will not launch. Is anyone else having this problem, and how can I fix it?

try to access the games folder and try to run the "MARDEK.exe" file it should work

This didn't work for me either. I had to go in and start the game through the flash version in the files and not the actual game version of it.

That's what I ended up doing too. There was a Steam update today that seems to have fixed the issue though.

For me it worked fine after having used the .exe one time.

I got it to work by opening the swf file directly and playing it in Adobe's player. You can get it here from this folder.

Install the chrome one, and check where it says "Never get updates (not recommended) while installing. That way Adobe doesn't try to uninstall. If you don't see that option run the uninstaller then reinstall it and you should see it.

Once you do you can run the swf. Then the mardek.exe will work. After you do that you can close Mardek.exe and it'll play from Steam from that point onwards no problem.
