Black screen after loading?
Hey! first of all, thanks for the key!!! I installed the game, everything launches perfectly, the sound works but all I can see it's a black screen.

My system specs in case you need em:

- I5 6600k @4.2ghz
- 16gb DDR4 3500mhz
- MSI GTX1060 6GB stock

Game is installed in a samsung EVO850 SSD, anything else let me know!

Hey, thanks for reaching out! I want to apologize that you're having technical issues. Are you in Windows (as opposed to Linux, for example)? I had someone report this issue to me once before and they said they were able to solve the issue by updating windows, which sounds very, very strange to me... I'll be investigating this on my end, but for now, try restarting your machine or updating it (if that's something you feel comfortable with). If that doesn't work for you, rest assured that I'll be working to get to the bottom this on my end. Because I'm not experiencing the issue, it may be hard for me to track, but I'll do my utmost to make things right. The fact that the game runs at all is a positive sign. Do you see any logos or a splash screen? Hoping to fix this issue for you ASAP. <3

I mean i'm using windows 10 LTSC which updates less regularly but without chances to get broken so I can't update right now like most people but maybe the next update will fix it, don't worry I can wait for it! just figuring to post here in case you weren't aware of it! Thanks!

I was planning to finally play the game for myself after only seeing it on my partner's machine before, but I'm having this very same problem

Windows 7, i5-4690k 3.4GHz, 16 GB RAM, MSI GTX-960 2GB.

Game starts, music plays, logo, epilepsy warning, and Strafe logo display, then the screen stays black.

Any fix yet?

On my way out so I can't play properly right now, but a quick test shows that it indeed appears to work now.

Thanks for the quick fix! (And man, I love the music when it starts :))


(A couple quick minor complaints, don't have time to start a new thread for it:
-- there doesn't seem to be an obvious button to quit the game at the main menu.
-- it might be a bit tricky to get the settings menu open for a new player.
-- I managed to get stuck in the settings menu. I had gone there with controller, then wanted to change to the mouse because it's faster to change settings that way, but then lost the controller prompt (orange color) and had no mouse pointer, so I had no way to change anything and no way out and had to kill the game from task manager. Ideally, I'd love to be able to seamlessly switch between mouse and controller at all times. Also would be great if ESC would have gotten me out of that menu (and possibly out of tha game too) :))
