Of course if you particularly love the S&S thing, S&S Pirates is quite like this game - but set at sea, and with more of a focus on adventuring.
thank you dev
Oh wow, Defender of the Crown as inspiration! You have prompted me to time travel back 30 years, being seated in front of my Amiga and listening to the Defender of the Crown music!
Yes, I see the similarities and yet, compliment to you and collaborators . . . this is a rare example where you improved on the source inspiration in every way. I have fond nostalgia for Defender of the Crown but would not wish to actually spend time playing it. Especially not the jousting . . .
It shares a similar overland strategic layer and a simple tactical battle layer. It does not have any mini-games and is set in a high fantasy world.
It does have the special 'hook' that instead of opponent moves being consecutive, you move they move etc all moves are simultaneous. Each faction can also have multiple army leaders and this effectively replaces garrisoning by enabling you to switch leaders between offence and defence.
why ? it has a mode called war of the ring which is essentially crusaders.. but you can also experience campaign its an RTS as well...also its lord of the rings an awesome fantasy... you like emperror antares ? there is the Witch-King of Angmar in LOTR which is literally antares
Etc etc
