No Umbrellas Allowed

What is the problem here?

Clearly this is the wrong material for the brand and yet, when I tried to attach the 'Wrong Material' card, the customer won't let me. She's not a fixie or someone in a rush. Is there something I'm not getting?

It's Ben Browns limited edition. You should transfer red colored text with limited edition and Ben Brown to other cards, and select material from Ben Brown brand.

I think I see what you're saying. With other customers the initial appraisal seemed to automatically tell me there was a cross-brand edition. As far as I can tell this is a very arbitrary instance for the game not to inform me. Thanks for the answer.

So I encountered this scenario again. Putting the other brands card worked, but using the Limited Edition card after made him mad. This game is lacking consistency.
I really wish we knew whether or not the developers are working on these issues. It's no wonder the game is hard for people to recommend.

I think this is an instance of you not understanding the mechanic as this is a consistent thing to happen. Not all customers know what they're bringing in and so put down the brand they think it is.
Like Sas Watches that have Casual Catastrophe? In the SAS brand info put there is an option that says something along the lines of: "Limited additions are collabs between Casual Catastrophe".
The correct card is: Collab between SAS and Casual Catastrophe.

So in your case it would've been: Chirplight and Ben Brown Collab + Limited Edition

Not all limited editions are colabs, also some customers will protest if it's lower items price. It's mainly all in the notes, and you should pay attention if it's conflicts with cards already put in, like year or something. Please, attach a screenshot on the situation.

Thanks for the answer, but like I said in my previous reply, the Limited Edition card did not take when I tried this again so where is the consistency in that?

I realize it's not always going to be both, but in this instance I'm sure it was. The collab brand edition was listed as being limited edition, I'm sure of it, though I wasn't prepared to take another screenshot and he suddenly left in a huff when I suggested it was Limited Edition.

There is a chance the whole piece was a knock-off, and some cards were up to it, maybe year wasn't match, or any other thing. You should pay real attention on description of brands and materials.

Also hastly customers are hard to deal with, they throw off important cards and often just react on random. So just get over it, and accept you can't always make a good deal. Remember, there is always be that one from the Art club who ruins your reputation just because you never hand a chance to put your hands on ANY art piece for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ last two weaks and 10k vans spent on Darcy's explorations.

I considered this, it's possible this is what happened but it still seems inconsistent. If it's a knockoff then is it really any more or less a limited edition than it is a collab?

This is good advice and I'll try to keep it in mind. I've never dealt with the art guy, I can't keep my reputation high enough.
