Please let us turn off text auto-advance

Sometimes the text advances too fast before I could finish reading it, or if there is some distraction, and then suddenly I've missed 2-3 lines and there is no way to slow it down. Can we just have a way to turn off auto advance entirely?

I’ve literally had to restart days because I missed one piece of dialogue. It would definitely be nice to be able to read it at your own pace.

Agree with this. I've always been a slow reader and have a hard enough time in everyday life with time sensitive info dumps going by way to quickly for me to be able to take in half of whats being said ... Watching foreign movies with subtitles ... No help to me.

I can't even get past the beginning tutorials without having to quit the game and restart ... Is it because I got the game at a discount? I didn't pay full price, so I'm only allowed to absorb 50% of it?

I understand the time sensitive pressure mechanics do have their place in the buying and selling sections of the game once you've been playing for a while and have maybe gotten into a groove, but right from the start? And during story scenes?

Please I want to love this game, but it's so frustratingly pointless since I don't have a clue what's going on because I'm missing so much of it.

I was just about to buy this game until i saw a lot of people complaining about this.
It's not just annoying, but it also impede people with learning disabilities to play the game.
I will wait for a 90%+ discount or straight up pirate it.
