Only things i asked for were the trophies (achievements) to actually WORK and for there to be a camera zoom out and FOV slider so i did not have to see inside my character's colon.
But hey, they added more DLC to BUY.
Good riddance, hope Paladins follows it.
At this point, I'm about to be of the same mindset as you, because it seems like even now they're doing that same old same old in regards to snuffing out any and all criticism smh. The only thing I'm sad about it the loss of the IP.
Gaming has become a cesspool of mediocrity and censorship.
Gaming needs another crash and for people to stop buying AAA garbage.
Trying to figure out which is more vile..
Gaming or the movie industry?
I'd say gaming, because in movies, the creators only get ONE shot to get your money. with gaming, however, the decrease in the average consumer's intelligence/"spine" along with the increase of corporate's greed have shaped the market, in such a way, that games come intentionally come out unfinished WITH multiple ways of gathering funds from consumers with barely even having to allude to intending to actually finish the product at any point.
This and Loadout shutting down is just weird to me. Just do a Splitgate, Gotham City Impostors and Dirty Bomb and leave the servers on for the community and end "support." Especially since most of these games already have AI bots if they need to.
EDIT: Apparently PC will have a private server version. This is nice, but a dedicated community server browser cross-consoles would be infinitely better. Not sure why games no longer do these.
yeah the achievements were kinda messed up for me too but eventually i 100% the game
its sad tho
and paladins? why paladins and not overwatch? o:
but ultimately games shut down due to low playerbase and not enough money being poured in, hell Tera shut down its servers and that was successful and was around for a super long time, that one was hella weird to me
and a private server like, by the developers themselves? or by fans? cause like with tera the devs shut it down but i know fans revived it and made some servers for people to keep playing on
i cant really imagine a private server being cross platform without the know-how and the funds to make it work, and koc is a F2P game now that is completely dead so >-<
although it would be nice if they made every cosmetic free. i would love to hear all the voice lines for every single available voice- there's about 5 i have NEVER heard in game so thatd be coo lol
I had fun with the game, yeah I had my issues with it and when I saw them ignore and/or make fun of me on their twitch streams that's when I dropped it. I eventually picked it back up because I realized the idiots they had on their streams were not the ones making the decisions and are in front of a camera and not in front of a computer doing work for a reason. Suggestions did eventually get added in though they usually came very late, they always seemed very understaffed and any deep seated issues were never going to be fixed without total overhauls.
Games shutting down is rare, though it doesnt seem rare anymore with all the recent shutdowns all happening at once.
Curious, what did you suggest that they never implemented? Or did you suggest something and they only implement it when it was too late?
This game is definitely one of those special cases where a good thing (or at least the concept) is made by not so good people, which is always ironic given how they preach "positivity" and such.
As for what I suggested, it was essentially the same stuff everyone else that ACTUALLY cared about the game did early on in the game's life cycle with MAYBE something specific that only I brought up (can't remember what though). If you wan't to know the specifics, you MIGHT be able to go back and search the forums for things dated around the early life of the game BEFORE we all realized it (or rather the dev team; the game itself can easily be polished) was a lost cause and left. Mind you, I say MIGHT, because Velan is known to purge things they don't want to hear no matter how valid and civil it actually is. Also, yes - the FEW times they did fix something that we warned them about, it was a very depressing case of too little too late.
