Games Reveur gone!

I've just noticed Games Reveur shut down. This was the major modding community for WR2.
This is so sad. Decades of creative work down the drain.

The site is for the most part saved on the archive, but of course, since the files were locked behind a math test, those were not saved.

Maybe there are some data hoarders with most or all the files somewhere?

Any idea why Games Reveur shut down? News from the admins?

I have some on one pc somewhere, I wanted to download stuff on my laptop but I guess thats not happening now :(. I also could not find any other site for mods.

I mean a WR2 modder has their own site, volvo480 (search volvo480-addons). There's also "Messatsu Workshop - World Racing 2 Mods" on Facebook surprisingly, so it seems that there's still some mods that are out there, but only car mods (excluding volvo's site which has a scenery or a few). RIP Games Reveur.

Could be technical, legal, financial or personal. But without an official statement from the owner, that's mere speculation.

Yeah, mods was very important to archive this stuff.
Web.Archive doens't saved mods here. Not good.

Only left share saved mods.

I honestly believe they got hacked. Checking the website and looking to the bottom right, you can see a shoddy picture of a corvette with the text "...it's over" next to it.

Somes people try contact with owner this closed site to bring back mods.

Not sure what leads people to believe it got hacked. The owner's subsite krom.reveur.de is still up. Maybe it got too expensive to run or the site suffered from a critical failure.

Kind of a shame not even an FTP server seems to remain and only a fraction of mods for the game are available elsewhere.
