heavy metal fakk 2

I've noticed this game and heavy metal fakk 2 were made by the sasme developer. You can't however get heavy metal fakk 2 on steam. I have noticed you can download it off their website. I just want to know if anyone has done this, and is it legit? If not where else can I get this game?

Unless I'm missing something, the download link on Ritualistic (which is a fansite) is just to a patch and not the full game.
Since FAKK 2 was a licensed game they probably don't have the rights to sell it anymore.

I think you'd have to find it used. I'd check Amazon or Ebay if you're in the US, otherwise some other local alternative.

It's a fun 3rd person action/shooter. Pretty typical for the time, but still fun for the era. I still own a copy, and it needs some coaxing to work with Windows 7, by changing the config file in the main Heavy Metal FAKK2 folder. As for working with Windows 8 or 10, I'm not even sure if it would, but it's always worth a try. Even got it to work with an Xbox360 controller too by using Pinnacle Game Profiler, and also getting it to run in a 1080p resolution.

I buy a copy on that game on ebay. I try install it but dont works :(

jaz69 did you try to update to the 1.02 patch? http://www.moddb.com/games/heavy-metal-fakk-2/downloads/heavy-metal-fakk-patch-102-manual It might help. I'd also suggest looking for a no CD patch as well for it.

Cool! This should help run it in fullscreen 16:9 resolution. Go into the Heavy Metal FAKK2 folder, and open up the config.ini file with Notepad.

Add this into the file:

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "1080"
seta cg_fov "105"

Save the file and close it. That will run it in 1920x1080 resolution, or alter the customwidth and height numbers to whatever you need it to be for your resolution. Should run in fullscreen fine after that :)

Fakk2 was pretty mediocre. Just a cash grab based on the HM license and big-tittied aliens.

The difficulty curve was all over the place, Level design was mediocre at best and the vocieacting was cringey AF.

Lots of games that aren't the best in their genre are fun. It doesn't make it any less enjoyable for those who enjoy the Heavy Metal franchise. Considering the game came out 16 years ago... the voice acting for a lot of games was not the best, especially for PC. Console games ruled the roost back then as far as quality.

I have this game on a disc and booklet i bought from ebworld years years ago. Finally getting around to playing it lol . i only tested it for about 10 mins. Its really good, and great music.
