SiN Episodes: Emergence

SiN Episodes: Emergence

great game...why was it never completed?
i had a ton of fun with this little, short episode but....it was never freaking completed. the writing was funny as hell. the gameplay and story was cool. i wish some dev would pick this game back up and finish the story...its a shame.

Ritual is no more - not sure what happened to the rights to SiN though.

That SiN II publisher demo from 2003 would be an interesting sight tho

I liked it.

The rights to SiN remain with Mumbo Jumbo, who "reformed" Ritual in 2014 for a GOG re-release of SiN Gold.

I understand that they're collaborating with Interceptor Entertainment on a new SiN game which should be announced soon. The CEO has announced they'll be bringing a Ritualistic content archive online soon.

Oh really? Where did you see that?
The SiN content and Ritualistic archive - it's in the SiN thread in Duke4.net. Fred said that we should expect an announcement soon.

Where did I see about the possibility of a new SiN game being made in conjunction with Interceptor? Well, an abundance of hints coming out of Interceptor in interviews and other posts in the Steam discussions.

Man, I'd kill for a chance at continuation of SiN. The game left off at one Hell of a cliffhanger, and that fanservice of a villain only used metaphores to describe Blade's serum. Would love to see where it's going at.

To say the least.
If they had released just Episode 2, the fanbase for this game would have been bigger.
Tempted to go buy and install this game again...
Since i lost my previous steam account, i no longer have the game, but i think it's abou high time i get it again and run through it.

I wonder how "soon" is "soon".

To answer this nearly year old question in a little more detail - the episodic nature of SiN was actually a success. It paid for itself and the next installment. The issue was all of the other IP they had and were working on was bankrupting them. SiN didn't pull in enough money to keep the whole studio going, so they sold everything. It's a shame because Emergence is a fun game.

iremember playing this when steam was just a tiny drm platform, it had real time in game statistics as well. this is the game i remember playing all those years ago. although my original account is long gone and this game with it, i do remember playing this. ending up on the roof of some building looking out on the industrial sector of some town.

sad to see that it never went anywhere, i was waiting about a year at the time for news but didn't see anything.

I remember buying a physical copy when this came out. I kept waiting for Ep 2 and looked into it. In a nutshell, Ritualistic got bought out and turned into a casual gaming company. Sad, but there you go.
