DEMO review
just like cloud2405,i pretty much had the same experience with the same settings (everything maxed out at 1440p),the micro stutters are a thing indeed but didn't make a second playthrough to verify if those micro stutters only happen in first playthrough,still should be looked at regardless

the game:

well story wise i can't say much considering it's a demo,but it's interesting so far,would really like to know wtf happened to earth and maybe some lore about the main story and the characters would be nice in the full release

Environment:

pretty much neon cyberpunk-ish with flares of horror and creepiness (those humans hanged by balloons are a nice touch)

Gameplay:

combat wise i like what experienced,especially the air bash combo'd with the slices of enemies in the air,tho i do hope there's gonna be some upgrades to the base attack,at some point it feels like with no charge you're stuck with boring low damage attacks, so more non-charge combos would be nice down the road

balance wise i played on hardest difficulty (as i do in most games XD),and seems good so far,tho i have to admit that air bash move (the one where you hold RT and Y) combined with the very high double jump is a little OP even tho i really don't want it to be nerfed cuz its fun XD,so maybe nerf the jump itself without necessarily taking it away by simply adding a gori upgrade where it offers this kind of high double jump and have the default double jump not so high (tho that might screw up with the level design since some of the obstacles need that high jump,so maybe not nerf it after all lmao XD)

parkour wise it's good but i have to admit the double jump can be sometimes annoying because it jumps way too high to land on walls,but only sometimes nothing too bad,if anything i just need to get good at timing my jumps lol

Animations:

i think this is the only part where it feels off to me and needs little more work,im mostly referring to the slow motion animations whether in gameplay or cutscenes ,everything just feels too stiff especially when it comes to characters moving around,gori feels like a stiff puppet when he dodges the rocket in a cutscene for example,or when you glory kill the right hand man he just lands on the palm for no reason before cutting off the fingers where you could've animated him going down for a bloody thrust inside the palm as the initial intended way to finish off the hand,then do the slice fingers move when the hand tries to counter gori by crushing him

Soundtrack:

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-RIP-AND-TEAR,ain't NO WAY you didn't inspire from mick Gordon's style of argent metal from DOOM XD,so frickin good, especially the touch where when you're on Pawsome rank of combo it plays the track in a more darker note, 11/10

Arena challenge:

pretty nice arcade mode,there's even an enemy you don't encounter in the demo story for those who are interested,my only complaint is the 3 star system is a little too easy,i think it was 400K for 3 stars when i had 1,2M in second try after i lost the first time because i didn't know how to deal with the new enemy immediately (don't it's easy to figure out,it's just that playing at highest difficulty doesn't leave much room for error so i died XP)

Issues:
mostly they're performance and graphical issues,micro stutters on the first playthrough,some textures glitching on and off (i saw it happen only once so it's not rampant,but should be noted) i think there's also some noise to some visuals as well,tho i'm pretty sure that's ray tracing's fault as it has a history with noisy reflections tho i thought that got fixed in recent nvidia updates so might wanna check that (note: i know nothing on how to implement ray tracing so no even sure if it can be fixed through an update lol XD),i also got stuck once on the door of a closed pipe,tho to be fair i wasn't supposed to be there XD, i just thought there might be some secret lol, so overall in issues it's alright and i imagine they can be fixed

overall cool,cute and brutal kitty game,it definitely has potential,more work should be put into the animations imo,and given the gameplay gori might be dante's secret pet we never knew about from Devil may cry XD

I myself am responsible for the heavy shredds you described in the soundtrack, haha you got it - we use to describe it as a doomsday metal band running their tour bus right into a toy store xD

ofc ,i just had to buy the ost right now as well XD,you shred the soundtrack and ill keep shredding unicorns XD

Hi again!

The demo has been updated with a shader compiler when you boot the game! This should reduce the micro stutters you have experienced. This feature will also be in the full game of course!

I've had an issue with the bash upgrade. It tells me to use a blank key. I try every button on the controller (xbox 360 style controller that works properly in all other instances) and nothing activates it. So, stuck.

Hey Dave! To fix the controller issue, can you please try opening the pause menu and selecting Settings > Button Layout > "Reset To Default"? Please let us know whether this resolves this issue!

stutters are still present. the shader compilation is incomplete.

with all due respect, developers need to stop using the unreal engine unless they learn how to sort these issues out.
