end game?
i have been playing with a wanderer in normal model, rank 8, all quest are green, and, well, nothing else is happening

not sure if i must do/find something to trigger a final quest that "finishes" the game, or that's it and there is no end to the game? I have explored quite a bit but nothing new seems to happen

i like the game, it is nice to play a rpg without the need to invest a lot of time or learning a lot of complex mechanics :)

There's no end game. The ultimate goal, I guess, would be to reach rank 10, which is the maximum achievable. (And then do that in Ironman mode?)

Or go achievement hunting. You must have some objectives left on the list if you're only rank 8.

Yup, no real endgame. I guess doing all achievements on your list counts.

oO Another one with all the achiviements under the belt almost went unnoticed! I am very impressed! How did you like it? How'd you do it?

I liked it just fine. Never read those Choose Your Own Adventure books, but I've played the Lone Wolf Saga before.

My 100% achievement run is the result of a trial and error and consulting guides. I knew where to go and when to do it for best results. Let's just say I've put much, much more hours into the game than my profile showed, but I prefer to not go into details ;)

And I admit: I backed up my save folder on Ironman every half hour or so for the first few hours and I'm glad I did ;)

Oh, and there's still a bug in the Forsaken Forest tower (the one opened with the key of stars). When going to the belfry if I choose to loot for a 100 shards after taking the basic loot the text options to fight/flee from the bats disappeared and I couldn't choose even to resurrect or start a new game. I replicated the bug every time I went there. If I don't choose to loot the 100+ shards I can get out of the tower. This was on a Rogue playthough, no idea if that's relevant.

Oh, good call! I'll investigate. I nerfed the Tower with a very recent patch and could have broken something with a previous save. I'll test with a fresh character and an old save and will patch asap.

It didn't matter if I looted 500 or a 100, I think it broke the moment I went into the tower.
I also went inside with Thievery and no green amulet.

Lol, this game is funny, you managed to cut down the enemy with ease, but during the battle contracted hepatitis c, you lose 1 stamina permanently.

Is the lack of an end game by design for the original books by the original author or is it something that the devs have to cope with since the original books were never completed?

Hey, it's by design. I guess 'end game' for gaming has come rather recent as a term while these were always meant to be an open world sandbox type of exploration.
