Huge fan of the books
Wow! discovered this on the Fabled Lands blog. Huge fan of the books, still remember walking into WHSmiths in 1996 and spending along time deciding which one to get (I could only afford one back then). Really looking forward to the development of this.

I am really happy to meet a fan of the books! Which one did you end up getting?

I looked through the maps and thought Cities of Gold and Glory looked the best :)

Nice! Some of the hardest encounters were in there! We'll see if you'd recognise Golnir this time :)

it always pained me they never finished the series
out of 12 they only did 6 with a 7th having been kickstarted by different writers

as all books are connected, how would your game even work ?
with half the needed sources not existing ?

Good question, raythr! I've spent hours and hours of playing the existing books with the abundance of content there is. Loose ends only get in the way when you notice there are such which in a digital format is quite managable unlike the paper one. Book 7 by Paul Gresty is fantastic and it's even twice the size of any of the other books. Highly recommend to check it out. Plus, this is a chance for the books as well to finally get them all out :)

This looks great. I loved the books growing up. Was for me a precursor to Elder Scrolls and Baldur's Gate only with way more interesting encounters. I mainly want to see them finish the series. If making them into a Game is the way to accomplish that then let's see it done!

Thank you, Mikey! I want to achieve the old-school vibe of BG1 with the richness of the world FL has to offer for exploration, will see if we can pull it off :)

As a kid I didn't have access to a PC, but Fabled Lands really felt like a fully simulated world, with variables and everything. This does look promising! And the graphics are way better than on the iOS version.

Ah, thank you so much! I never got to play the iOS versions and have only seen some remnants of screenshots and art on the internet and they didn't feel right to me. I hope this version does them just! Glad you stopped by to say hi, you can follow the weekly updates to see how it develops :)
