Swansong is broken up into scenes. The first scene includes the section where you play as Emem, the section where you play as Leysha, and the section where you play as Galeb -- at the tower.
Here's the scene list for the first four scenes for reference.
Scene 01: All – Prince's Quarters.
Scene 02: Galeb – Moore's Apartment.
Scene 03: Leysha – Loft.
Scene 04: Emem – "Unknown" (Jefferson Library)
What this means is that the 1 hour and 40 minutes of gameplay seen here is considered one scene by the game.

As for Emem's outfit, she only wears the red dress during the first scene. In later scenes, she wears casual clothes with a different hairstyle. There is also a costume DLC that puts her in a brightly coloured outfit. But only after Scene 1.
Did you screenshot the difference?
Ok That makes sense as far as the restart. I was playing Galeb's first game session at the end of level 1.
As far as the outfit goes, well I hit restart and had a black screen, so I then quit the game and hit continue after restarting. When the game started Emem had a leather jacket on and her hair was no longer in braids. Also I couldn't access the elevator for some reason, I chalk it up to a weird glitch I guess.
