i heard this game is woke trash.

how bad is it? is it ok to buy on a huge discount or should i just wait for bloodlines 2?

It's VTM 5th edition and if you follow the WoD franchises you would know the answer to your first question. To put it simply they push it a lot. Surprisingly VTM can still tell good stories even with that drawback. Specifically for the game i think it's ok unless you are very sensitive and don't like VTM at all.

This game has nothing to do with Bloodlines. It is a narrative RPG with adventure elements and it is similar to The Council which is the other game Big Bad Wolf studio has made. Both these games are favorites of mine it's a unique genre basically. I hope this helped.

Maybe perhaps you guys should just stop asking this and move on. It's trolling nonsense that has made this forum almost unreadable. It's not as if you trolls don't already know this has been asked/discussed over and over ad nauseam. Honestly if the mods still paid any attention to this forum, which obviously they don't, it should be an automatic ban at this point.

If you're worried about this being "woke trash", what makes you think Bloodlines 2 will be any different? Just stick to playing the first one.

I'm usually what you would probably consider "woke" but even I had to raise my eyebrows. I played 19 minutes. And in those first 19 minutes there was: a black woman, a woman with colored hair, an Asian woman, a woman with virtiligo and a fat woman ofc all of them young beauties XD meanwhile the men: one old wrinkly man, one ugly nosferatu (white), one black hobo looking like Tremere and the only decent guy was the playable one. I wouldn't be surprised if the Prince (female ofc) rolls in a wheelchair xD
Now I am a woman myself and I like diversity, I love playing gay romances in my RPGS etc but this felt a bit like TOO many token minorities all at once.

Aside from April Bosley's virtiligo, there is nothing even remotely unusual about the demographics of the characters in this game.

Boston is a city with a population of just over 650,000. Of those, 44% are white, 19% Hispanic, 22% Black and 10% Asian. Just over 12% of the population are LGBT+. Heaven forbid that a game actually reflects the society we live in, instead of catering exclusively to the straight white demographic.

As for virtiligo, I've never seen that condition represented in any entertainment media before, so I was pretty happy to see a character with it.

OP, you're implying that this game will be so good that it'll delay your purchase of VtM2, and in the same breath accusing it of being woke trash. You're lucky anyone who replied to you bothered taking you remotely seriously.

If anything i personally found the game quite anti-woke. Within the game you'll find some documentation that insinuates that "left wing" political opinions like enviromental protection and healthy eating campaigns are actually vampire funded initiatives that are used for their own advantage.
