Locate your local save file, should be there:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\TheClearing\Saved\SaveGames
In my case, there was two save files, one looked like this:
76561198018453193_0.sav
The other like this:
76561198018453193_0[AUTO-SAVE].sav
In my case, the auto save one was older than the other one, so it was before the crash.
So I deleted the one with "_0.sav" and renamed the other one to have that name. Then im able to load into the game again.
Hope that helps some of you.
The fix proposed by toastbrott doesn't work for me.
Finally! Thank you! This worked! I had to use a winget command prompt to install it because the store download wasn’t working. FINALLY I can play the rest of the game! Yaaaaay!
