If I alt-tab out of the game for a while, upon trying to go back in, I get an endless loop of message boxes with this error, and I can never go back into the game.
The only way out is to kill the process.

Can you specify where this is happening in the game? Main menu, on a mission?

We've had a similar case with the jet which was spawning particles while pause was active. This resulted in the game crashing. It's probably something like that, but it's hard to pinpoint the cause without details.

Well, another bug report.
I was on this descending platform in the first level where bad guys fall from the top.
This blue four-legged robot falls on me, and I get stuck on the floor and can't get out.
Obviously ended up getting killed.
I think the goose sprite got squashed horizontally too.
