I suggest getting a blob that can heal (Can be found in the pond with the waterfall during spring and fall seasons), a blob that can buff your team, or even a blob that debuffs the opponent (The bat blob's "ultrasonic" skill can mute the boss for 3 turns, preventing it from using skills) and if possible, make sure one of your blobs has a party-wide offensive skill you can use to insta-kill the 2 small enemy blobs. Also, having lots of healing items (apples, oysters, etc. usually do the trick) will help quite a lot!
Lastly, afaik, EVERY boss in the game has a revive skill and they wont hesitate to use it every turn if needed.

I just wrote a whole guide on how the stat EXP works, the global ''power'' level is misguiding at first.
