Not able to use Logitech wireless gamepad in game

Wireless gamepad not playable in game. It doesn't seem to recognize the joystick. gamepad works for others games. So I know its working.

Problem solved! I needed to go to the Steam settings, controller and then click on general controller setting. Here check mark generic gamepad configuration. Joystick works fine in the game.

the game is not reading my gamepad (logitech F710) and it works fine with another Steam Game- Super Mega baseball. I'm not sure what the issue is. I've check the configuration and its setup as generic gamepad. It was working fine a few weeks ago. suggestions?

Controls-wise I can't think of anything that changed in recent updates that would cause it to suddenly stop working, especially if it works in other games.

Have you tried playing the game in Big Picture mode on Steam? Curious if you're able to use it in there and then whether it dies in the game or not...

Yes, I tried playing the game in Big Picture mode and it still doesn't work. The game pad works fine for other Steam games i have in the library. So I know its not the game pad nor its configuration. So I'm not sure why it doesn't load the game pad config into Sunday Rivals. it does not recognize the game pad at all. I can play it using the keyboard but I hate it.

One thing I did notice is that when I start Sunday Rivals their is no bubble indicating my game pad config has been loaded. When I start Super Mega baseball just before it shows the main screen, a small bubble box shows that my gamepad has been loaded. Is this problem related to your game or steam software?

that's hard to say, I'm not sure how SMB is setup. Did it show that bubble in the past and stop doing it recently with Sunday Rivals?

The last time I touched input was in May (v.16.3) and that was a to fix a bug where players lost control during the game. If you don't have control even in the menus, I'm leaning towards a Steam thing unfortunately.

My game pad finally works. You need to start in big picture mode and select the base configuration. Then check Big picture configuration not desktop. Whew!
