Connections between Missed Messages and A new life.

Hi! before you read this whole post, im a big dumb lesbian who likes to read too much into things, anywho

i wanted to talk a bit about connections ive drawn between the main characters of a new life. and missed messages!

obviously, this will have spoilers for both games and their endings, so i really recommend playing through and getting all the endings on both games!

so the first conclusion that you can draw that maybe in some way the main characters are related to the ones in missed messages, the protags love interest (depending on ur ending duh ) is named May. The main protag in missed messages always remains nameless, but in a new life, her name is August.

Theres also their apperances, in missed messages, the main character is shown to have a bluish shade of hair, while May's hair is always in a pinkish-cream color. Same goes for the characters in a new life,

obviously there are some scenes where their hair appears more earthy colors, but typically theyre depicted as pink and blue.

And in both games, the matter of skin color is that both love interests seem to be fair, pale skin tones, while the main character has tanner, and more of a darker skin tone.

In both missed messages and a new life, theres this reoccuring pink, egg bedsheet, (or blanket idrk) it could just be that maybe angela likes to draw those egg blankets, but who knows :eyes:

in both stories, both of the main characters meet through school, in a new life it is stated that they're engineering majors, in missed messages, theres not really any specification, other than they're living in dorms, but it is stated that May's mother wants her to become "an engineer or a doctor" and im not rlly sure how that stuff works but the homework the un-named protag in missed messages, could be engineering hw.

this is a lesser detail, not really as important as the rest, but both potential love interests seem to have a facination with the arts, and drawing cute cats (which i dont blame them!)

but dur thats about all i have written down, so if anyone has any deeper explanation or connections feel free to send them this way! idk i just like speculating that maybe these two stories are different timelines :>

i thought may looked the same but i wasnt sure if that was her name in the last game but i did have a feeling it was. i really hope the maker comes out with some kind of statement or something that explains this because i would love to know! But i really did enjoy reading your theory on this subject!!!!!

yeah, i thought about it while playing, and it really makes sense, it's very similar

what I find interesting, is that this can be an "other life"? in all the endings of new life, she dies... she never stays alive with the other girl

it has a "past life connection" vibe, I don't know, the game is beautiful anyway

I was really into this lore a while ago so I may not remember all the details but I think i thought they met in missed messages but only got together in a new life and then you left me is the PTSD after the death in a new life and I woke up next to you again is the sex as a coping mechanism developed after that death also
