I absolutely love this addition, thank you! Looking forward to pushing myself to try new ways to play, unlock all the different legends, mementos and experiment! All the combinations are why I loved all the the randomness of all the Civ games.

Do the AI players also use those memento bonuses?

I get the point of adding this stuff, but I just find it annoying, I'll be looking for ways to skip this as soon as I can, I don't need external grind for my 4X games, that's what hundreds of hours of playing it anyways are for.

Greedy and Mementos

So in addition to paygating tons of content, you are now also playgating the full experience. This is not a fun rogue-like option, this is a clear manipulating of the game by suits to crassly squeeze out additional "engagement". Things like this aren't the devs fault.

The problem with the Hall of Fame in Civ VI was that it was device specific, meaning that games played on my laptop didn't show up on my desktop Hall of Fame, or even anywhere after I upgraded my devices. So there was no point even looking at it anymore.

I suppose that won't be a problem here, because it would seem that such a well thought out system would sync with the cloud. Idk.

I am not preordering due to a...previous game...but this does not look promising. Especially with the United States not having classic leaders like Abraham Lincoln or Theodore Roosevelt. That said, if you guys end up having fun then great for you.

So will the AI leaders get these bonus?

I want to customize all units and special characters, please implement female gender options and the ability to customize skin color, hairstyle and headwear (also for leaders).
Then I would play the game and play it with every nation, that is my biggest motivation.

I like this. I had a couple thousand hours in each on Civ 6 and Civ 5 and if I'm able to put in such hours for Civ 7, I should end up with a nice collection of rewards for it. Kudos.
