Modern Age Ends way too fast.
I just won my first Deity play through, and got access to the Manhattan Project at 40% Age Progress. And probably won at 50%, I didn't note when the game ended.

But still, this is way too fast, and it's not just me either. You might say, well you chose to go as fast as you could, that's why it ended so early. But an AI was very close to finishing the Science and Culture legacy paths. If I didn't finish when I did, an AI probably would have won in about 20 turns later either way.

In the previous Era's, it takes time before you can actually make Legacy Path Progress.

In Antiquity, you need lots of science and advance into the late tree techs to get the codices needed to complete the science path. You need 4 wonders just to complete 2/3 of the culture milestones. And you also need a bunch of cities, trade routes, and most likely want to have Navigation researched before you can finish off the economic legacy path. And the military one will also take a lot of work, and time.

In Exploration, it's similar, you need to put in a lot of work, exploring, settle cities, researching late game techs and civics, placing well positioned specialists, many of them. You need to do all of this before you can even start making progress towards the legacy paths.

In Modern, you can research the explorer and start making progress within 10 turns. And the AI, can be insane when it comes to science and culture output. In the Deity game I mentioned earlier, in Exploration, Napoleon was generating an ungodly amount of Science and Culture. Give or take 3500 per turn when combined. I don't even know how. He was controlling the Mongols, who aren't known for their Science and Culture. So even though something like the space race, requires end game techs, the AI can get there very fast when it's generating 2000+ Science per turn.

I think the Modern Age legacy paths should be tweaked and looked at. Especially when considering how much the AI can get out of control with their yields. It seems like every game I play, I'm more or less on par or slightly above or below all the AI's, except for one. And that one will be generating 3x all my yields per turn. I would love to also see a breakdown of how that's happening. I always look at their abilities info and I don't see anything that stands out to me. Perhaps an endeavour that allows me to see a breakdown of where their yields are coming from would be cool.
