I have had the same issue. Civ VII working fine on my M1 Macbook yesterday, today just crashes every time on trying to boot up. Not able to use Windows 11 solutions as it is a Mac. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate the help! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it did not help.

I have many modification apps installed, but not opened, obviously for the stupid Denuvo. Anti-tempering. Also have many firewalls and anti-malware, so I'm trying to play this offline. Getting many crashes and the number of "Denuvo detection" is increasing, so I figure there's a bug somewhere, but w/e. Already requested refund. I pre-ordered the game in Sep. 2024, didn't agree to this term of service. Won't play if I can't play this with a trainer offline. Also, will discontinue with all future 2K games too. I still have all my old Civs 4-6 to play though.
keeps crashing on start up all other games still works including civ 6 OS windows 11 CPU ryzen 5 5600g radeon graphics ram 8.00 storage 500gb available 26.3 drivers 6.0.9567.1
OS: Windows 10

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 16GB
Available Storage: 910GB
Driver Version: 572.60

Tried both DX12 and Vulkan, game says it crashes then opens up like going start and then just closes out. I get a windows pop up. I've tried restarting, reinstalling drivers, and also verifying the files.
OS: Windows 12 56 bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.6 GHz
GPU: NVIDA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
RAM: 16GB
Available Storage 1 TB
Driver Version: No idea

Game tries to launch, connects to steam, then a send crash report to Firaxis pops up, tries to show opening screen of the game and stops after a second. Verified game files. Updated graphics driver. Reinstalled the game. Updated RAM settings. Tried opening on Vulcan. Nothing worked.
Was working fine yesterday and then today seems to start for a few seconds like others but then crashes and I get the following message:
AppHost initialized failed in 'WillFinishLaunching' Exit code: 1.

After buying this epic title TODAY I loaded up and blasted a couple hours out (With no issues),then I link my 2k account run the benchmark tests and exit. I go to load up Civ VII buzzing to get in about my save and as I load the title from steam,Fireaxis crash report before it loads, BUT the game loads to intro video then CRASH. i'm debating a refund but i really don't want to. (Game is on SSD)

I see more and more people having the same issue that I had and it is killing me. This is what I did that "fixed" it for me:
- Click on magnifying glass / search option on start bar, type in "appdata" without the quotation marks, which should bring up the appdata folder
- Open the Local folder
- Open the Firaxis Games folder
- Open the Sid Meier's Civilization VII folder
- Delete the LegalDocument.cache and LegalChoice.cache files
- (optional?) open game and have it still crash
- Verify game files via steam

That was the last set of steps that I took that seemed to get the game to run. I hope it helps.
