We’ve seen a few crashes in our data and want to help those who may be experiencing issues playing the game.

OS: MacOS Sequoia Version 15.0
CPU: Apple M2 Max
GPU: Apple GPU, not sure model
RAM: 32 GB apple silicon
Available Storage: 192 GB

I played for several hours yesterday and it worked fine, but today won't start. Game will open up and immediately crash every time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, verifying game cache, etc. Will try updating my OS.

Pour ceux qui n'arrivent pas à lancer Civ VII du tout (jouer-chargement-jouer); sur steam allez dans aide, information système et regarder si votre config prend en charge AVX2. Si ce n'est pas le cas, comme moi, il vous sera impossible de jouer tant que vous ne changerez pas de processeur ou que les dev se décident a faire une MaJ pour nous.

(Google traduction) For those who can't launch Civ VII at all (play-load-play); on steam go to help, system information and see if your config supports AVX2. If this is not the case, like me, it will be impossible for you to play until you change your processor or the dev decides to make an update for us.

Tried both DX12 and Vulkan, game will not start. It says running, and then just closes out. I don't even get a window to pop up. I've tried restarting, reinstalling drivers, and also verifying the files.

A similar thing happened to me. The game started the first couple times, then became unable to launch without crashing right away. I tried reinstalling the game, but what worked for me was deleting the folder at the end of this address: C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII . The game automatically recreated that folder. Saved games are stored elsewhere, so this just resets settings and things.
