Cannot confirm my government selection

Cannot get beyond the government selection screen - nothing happens, game doesnt crash but I obviously cannot proceed

I am getting the same issue. I thought perhaps that Civ VII had updated in the middle of my game, so I started another game with the same issue. This happened in both modern and antiquity ages.

I am having the same problem. In my case,It probably stopped working after an update

Similar here. The Government selection screen has just a vertical bar and no selections. Cannot select anything except the cancel icon in the upper right of the bar. Restarting doesn't fix. No mods. brand new install.
