Just curious: do any of you have Dropbox (or Google Drive, or OneDrive) and let it sync your Documents folder? I've seen plenty of games having issues with that. Or moved your documents folder to an external drive or something?
Also there is this:
Thanks, the problem was that the My Games folder was a network drive! I've never had any problems with other games before.
I had to click the control folder accesss folder to view it and then it showed the,"Civ7_Win64_DX12_FinalRelease.exe"
gave it access to the protected folders and wham bam its all good!
For those that need it i went;
Windows Security -> Virus and Threat Protection -> Protection History -> Protected Folder access blocked -> click on them until you see the Civ 7 one -> Control folder access settings -> Allow on app Through Controlled Folder access -> Add an Allowed app -> find the civ 7 one and click it and your'e done!
thanks;
that works
this worked for me. thanks for this
didn't work on my laptop though
