Crashing while loading

I'm running into an issue with my Alienware crashing the game while it's loading. I'm not tech savy, but here's what I have:

Alienware Aurora Ryzen
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT with up to date drivers
32G RAM
No 3rd party mods or anything installed (per the dev's note about crashes)

Machine is stock out of the box, and about 3 out of every 4 times when the game starts/loading existing game it crashes between 50-75% loaded.

At 50% the machine spins up loud on the fans and spikes something viscious, and I can't figure out how to solve it.

Meanwhile, my steamdeck starts/loads flawlessly.

Any suggestions, tips, ideas are appreciated.

I've also de-installed, and re-installed the game, and checked the game files and that hasn't helped at all.

I had a similar issue. The actual program would load up, but when I went to start a game, the game would crash before loading into the map. My system is extremely similar to yours but with an RX 6700 XT. Anywhos, I switched from DirectX 12 to Vulcan and it's been fine since.
