Difference In Game Offerings
The game is offered in Standard, Deluxe, and Founders editions at different prices. What is the difference between the three other than the 5 days advance use? In other words what do I miss by buying only the Standard edition versus the Deluxe and Founders editions?

Also, can you give me a little primer on a "price wall" that some discuss being in the game?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I remember you from the Civ 6 board, welcome to Civ 7:lunar2019grinningpig:

Deluxe
- 5 day early access (on Feb 5)
- Shawnee Civ and Tekumseh leader
- "Crossroads of World pack", a dlc pack of 4 Civs, 2 leaders, 4 wonders", available in March
- "Delux content pack", which is
2 leader personas
4 profile customizations
1 alternate scout skin

Founder's has all of the above and :
- "Right to Rule" pack, a dlc pack of 4 Civ, 2 leaders, 4 wonders." Available by September.
- "Founder's Content Pack", which is
2 leader personas
4 profile customizations
1 fog of war tile set
1 Founders palace skin

So each level gives an extra dlc pack of Civs, wonders, and leaders and a cosmetic pack.

Both give early access and Shawnee Civ and Tekumseh leader.

I got founder's because I'm looking forward to the game and am pretty sure I'll really enjoy it. The base edition has a ton of content to keep you busy, so it's really up to you which edition to get.

There is a picture on the store page that shows the difference between the versions as well.
I will just wait a few years to buy, Civ V is all I really need right now.

In the long run, you won't miss out on a damn thing.

If you are broke, then practice playing the Standard Edition on Sovereign difficulty or higher for 500 hours.

By the time you get good, if you still like the game, then you can purchase the extra cherries and throw them on top.

These Civilization games have a very long development cycle. It'll take Firaxis 2.4 years to complete this one if you include two expansions. So, there is no rush. You can sit back, relax, and practice your strategies.

Value for money for this game will be extremely high. The amount of hours these games give you is unmatched by most video games. Which, depending on whether or not you have a life outside of gaming as a hobby, can be good or bad news.

As long as you have a powerful computer, you'll be very pleased.

I purchased the Founders Edition because I want Civilization variety every time that I play a match. I don't want to see the same opponents every single time.
