ARM64 (Copilot+ PC) native support?
Hi i can't seem to get an answer on this. It will affect my purchasing decision for this game. I want to play this on a Surface Pro 11. Civ games are great on large touch screens and a lounge chair. I expect it will run in emulation but I want good performance and graphics. I may have to consider the PS5 version if there is no ARM64. I sit at my home desk all day. I just cant keep sitting there to play PC games.

ARM-powered PCs are predicted to make up 30% of the PC market by 2026, according to market analyst firm Canalys. https://www.windowscentral.com/software-apps/windows-11/arm-cpus-predicted-to-hit-30-pc-market-share-by-2026

This is releasing for switch at release, so if it can run on a switch...

As I said, I think it will run through emulation. To me "does it run?" is only a small part of the equation. Native support would mean better performance since no emulation layer.

This is similar to Mac. Parallels exists but the game will run much better native.

Well, the switch uses ARM64 CPU so it seems natural to have native code to get enough performance to run on such a potato.

Very custom ARM so it wouldn't be simple. Plausible for sure, but would require some effort from Firaxis. Thats what I would like to understand. Are they putting in that effort?

I've been able to play on my Steam Deck with no issues but the game isn't loading on my Surface Laptop 7. Tried DirectX12 and Vulkan to load the game but neither has been successful in getting the game to actually load.

Well that explains the mobile graphics and UI.
Is there any update on this? I'm holding back my purchase until it runs on my new Surface.
I was able to install it, but it wouldn't run.
Here's what I'm getting from the Event Viewer:

Yes I also tried installing the x64 redistributable. If you read the reddit forums closer, this only fixes civ6 installs after installing civ7, but doesn't fix civ7

Thank you!
Any change after the recent update?

No updates on this and it still does not work after the recent update
I wrote to Firaxis support, maybe they can point us in the right direction
