Should have better game right? Has what the old games have but can do even more right?
Is this one size fits all?
If the previous game was 10/10, and its a recent 10/10 not a 10/10 20 years ago. Does one still do 33?
or do something like 50% same, 40% improved 10% new
What about if bad,
still do 33? Make the next game just like the bad game with a 33% new?
or do something like 10% same 20% improved 70% new?
lol/smh
Sid Meier hasn't been lead of Civ since Civ 3.
Even for Civ4 Sid Meier was on the sidelines, Soren Johnson was Civ 4 lead.
The last game Sid actually made was Starships i believe. He was the lead designer and listed as a programmer. I know he is like a god in gaming. But i kind of think he has had his day like the John Carmacks and Romeros of this world. All legends in their own right. But times have changed.
He will almost certainly collect some small royalties but otherwise he's retired and probably very glad that he had his time in the industry in better, more appreciative times. I doubt he'd make anything that folks would 'love' nowadays. They'd find something unbelievably stupid to object to like his lack of grovelling to the community instead of the quality of his work.
It's improving, just backwards
