Question on Resources (unassigned)
First time I noticed this. If you have resources that are not assigned, they have a bonus. You hover over them and it is usually extra Happiness, etc.., I played around a lot and I could not see ANY of these Unassigned Bonuses showing up in ANY Settlements. Any help appreciated.

They're empire bonuses. They don't apply to any settlement. Check your yields at the top of your screen. Empire happiness doesn't apply to a settlement. It applies toward celebrations. Check your policies page to see how many turns before your next celebration.

Yeah I believe they added this (the fact that unassigned resources give a small gold and happiness boost) in the previous patch (the main one before 1.1.1). I actually never looked anywhere to see where it would be displayed, so I'm not to sure if it's actually counting or not...haha

Ghiron, it is what Falsted is talking about. It is the resources on the left. Hover over them,, but as I said, I don't see them anywhere. They are actually kind of powerful if they worked on any or all Settlements. But I can't tell if they do anything.

They do not apply to settlements. It goes into the global pool for celebrations and gold.

I am not fighting you, but Where did you read or see that?
It seems to be bugged. I have a game with 57 unassigned resources in the modern age, which would be granting 171 gold and happiness, but it is not.

Well, that proves it. Damn, I am starting to get that feeling again that I should take a month off from this again. Great game, but sooo frustrating.

I just assumed "unassigned" resources weer of zero value because they are... um... unassigned? Ditto factory resources. Why would they contribute anything if not slotted - isn't that the point of slotting any/all resources?
