Consider this: for $70, you get 31 Civs, 21 leaders, and the actual game. For about $30 (over 40% of the base cost of the game), you get... 4 more Civs and 2 leaders. Even if we did go by Civ 6 costs, that is usually $5 per Civ + Leader, which is half the cost of this and in that game, a Civ + Leader lasted the entire game, as opposed to Civ 7 where a Civilization lasts only 1/3 of the game.
The game is fun and I'm sure the content is fun, but this DLC is extremely over priced.
I agree 100% they are totally milking us, but the content looks interesting if grossly overpriced.
I'm still on the fence btw.
Not really. I had ample opportunity to build many wonders, even with coastal terrain I feel like I had a good shot at cultural legacy because of growth and production, but ultimately decided against it because many antiquity wonders are not that great. I didn't finish the entire civics tree but still got Philosophy. Tech was a bit harder, but I was focusing much more on culture and economy than science from narrative events and other bonuses. Your choice of leader can have a big impact here.
you say it isnt because its your favourite and because its more detailed, so they make the "free" civs ♥♥♥♥ and these better/more enjoyable isnt good.
it isnt a good sign, also how this patch is fk all content and mostly p2wdlc, also isnt a good sign
More detailed than civilization of past games, I mean, not those of the base game.
My antiquity favorites from the base game are probably Greece, in gameplay, and Egypt, in terms of aesthetics and flavor.
The only thing I'm kind of concerned of is Carthage's gameplay balance against Aksum since they are both naval and economy oriented, but the one-city restriction of Carthage is pretty limiting factor as well so it's on the fence.
Britain is nicely in line with other civs of modern age competing in same gameplay areas, like Mughal. And Ada Lovelace is just another cultural-scientific leader, we already have Catherine as well as Confucius when it comes to breaking the game with science or culture.
Normal/standard settings. And I always play Terra Incognita.
The variety of gameplays has never been as high, and I hope we keep getting more civs that break conventions.
Byrsa is unlocked by Sailing. All wonders associated with a particular civilization are available from tech or civic tree as well, not just the one civ's civics.
