I find it to be the easiest of the victory paths because if you have good culture/economy then you will beat most civs to the relics. Having a city with a museum/university on each continent is also key.
I did just play a game where Catherine kicked my butt in the Exploration Era in regards to culture/wonder spam but she did stumble towards the end even though her culture was really good still. This was on Immortal.
So, no, I have never seen the AI win or come really close yet with a non-military winning condition. I also get the feeling that we will get another Era someday and that a lot of these bare bones mechanics will get fleshed out.
I strongly agree that we will get another era and these issues will be resolved. Yeah while the AI puts up a solid fight during the game, by the end they are never close to victory. Thanks for the tips on culture.
Overall game is great and the changes made to combat make civ 6 feel ancient but i wish the AI ended as strong as it starts
This is actually rather impressive, I suppose that means the AI is programmed to bank enough money and influence both. I've had several AIs began production of factory resources in timely manner, but never given them opportunity to complete the victory projects.
funny you mention that because in my last game there was one AI not involved in any war who was second place to me in economics. by the time I reached 500 points she was barely at 150. There was no drive by her to actually complete the task at hand. Maybe its game specific.
Can I ask how the AI won and how far behind you were and also the difficulty level?
