Civ 7 Getting Absolutely Abysmal User Reviews/Ratings From Both PS and XBox Reviews
What's really significant about these user reviews is that they are not as heavily focused among 1 star reviews as you would expect. Even if you simply remove every 1 star review the reviews are still quite bad.

This is a disaster of a launch. That doesn't mean the game is a total failure yet, we'll still have to wait till Monday to know, but it doesn't look good.

Meanwhile there are rumors coming out of 2K that someone in project leadership at Firaxis, maybe Ed Beach, could be let go if player counts and review scores don't pick up by the end of the month.

Woke devs tend to produce unfinished junk because their priority is not to finish the game but adding more representation, for example first manned space flight is replaced with first "staffed" flight why? because the devs are extremists.

Did you read this back to yourself before posting? Go on, say it aloud, looking at yourself in a mirror. Have you any idea how ridiculous this gripe sounds? Out of all the things to complain about you complain about something as inconsequential as inclusive language, and think others are the 'extremists'??

lmao touching grass is not enough. Someone bury this person neck deep in moss in a forest
Yes people who ruin an entire culture to represent 1% of the total population and tell the other 99% to screw off are indeed extremists, your just upset its not working anymore and society is correcting.

Then you are both very delusional.

The fact you then went on to write 2 paragraphs of a completely made-up scenario of how you think things work is concerning. It's such a delusional avenue of imagination that you fail to see the things that are actually contributing to the enshitification of games lately (and everything else), and it is ever growing corporate greed. You're chasing shadows over equality issues whilst some actual scrooge mcduck mofo is laughing all the way to the bank
What is made up? Is the leader for America some random black woman no one has ever heard about before or not?

I dare you to go out in the street in the US or anywhere else in the world and ask some random person who Harriet Tubman is. No one could tell you and I'd bet actual money that not a single one of the devs could answer that question if they haven't been specifically briefed on that aspect.

And this is where they are wasting resources. It's also about who they are hiring. When I saw the clip of them celebrating the release of Civ 7 I saw the obvious check boxes they went for. and I'm convinced that their hiring practices are based on those check boxes and not actual qualifications. When you end up less qualified personal who do not really know what they are doing and do not have a priority of delivering the best possible experience in the game but to instead just check boxes for DEI then you end up with wasted resources on devs that are not actually providing anything of benefit to the game.

It's sad but this stuff is obviously visible in Hollywood movies and has been apparent in games for many years as well. It killed various studios already and infected basically every big studio in existence.

Can we please not talk about this boring crap in my thread? The reviews on the console stores don't waste their time on this and that is the topic here.

The problem is the terrible UI, civ swapping, and a few other things.

Whining about Harriet Tubman is not serious criticism.

Almost every American child learns about the Underground Railroad and Harriet Tubman. Basically everyone knows who she is. You're acting like the leader pick was Sojourner Truth or something.

Dr. Acula - spreading the bs on any forum it seems ;)

I knew who Tubman is, and I'm not even from the US. And if anyone doesn't know they can look it up and - maybe learn something about this historical figure that is an optional leader here. There is no issue at all with her being in the game. None.

The only reason thats true on consoles is because they perma ban your entire account if you even bring up the concept or word, when most people see smoke they talk about fire but on consoles mentioning fire gets you banned so people talk about smoke only to avoid being banned.

There is indeed an issue with her, the truth is that he is quite right about her inclusion being absurd. She was not by any stretch an appropriate addition as an American leader, and any discussion over the months has been met with the same tired "you're RACIST" backlash that has become increasingly ineffective.

What bs reasons do you have for her being an absurd choice? And yes, they will be bs reasons.

if you made a list of the top 50 influential Americans tubman wouldn't be in that list, if you increased it to 100 she still wouldn't be in that list.
