I have had Civ 7 on my wishlist since it became available but the reviews are shocking so I will hold off and stick with Civ 6 until Civ 7 either goes on sale or the issues are fixed.
Steam keys are more widely used now and they don't count in reviews.... in theory civ 7 should have far less reviews. And since refunds don't count it should have even less than that if this game is doing so much worse number wise...
civ 6 went way down from 167k+ at launch to incredible crap numbers after a few months and stayed there for years.
In other words all this "math" is kinda meaningless crap that doesn't tell you anything about how good or bad a game is...
Yep, this game is not for you. I enjoy the hell out of it, it's a game for me :)
Tons of people love and acknowledge their love for terrible games. Tons of people play games that are completely broken, with a lot of those people using fixes for terribly released games.
Liking a game =\= is good game.
Edit: This guy has 800+ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hours in Starfield?????
Lol, okay. All I have to say that it's quite clear you never took any statistic courses or even attempt it. If you did, you would have understood quickly that the way you view the number of people online and playing Civ 7 is a indicator of nothing other than players trying it out or playing it but it provides no context until you compare it with another number. IE Civ 6 number in similar circumstances, which would be their launch and at Civ 6 launch, there was a peak of 160,000+ players playing it and this is DOUBLE of Civilization 7 launch numbers.
Keep in mind, there are more players in Steam than back in Civilization 6 release so adjusting for that, I would ballpark the actual peak players playing Civilization 7 at probably 25k to 28k when comparing to the numbers of players playing Civ 6 for an Apple-to-Apple comparison but of course, I haven't done any adjustment calculation as I don't need to other than estimate it.
Your argument is from a simplistic point of view with absolutely no context or anything to compare to. You simply think 46k is a great number but again, compared to what?
Finally, subtracting 6k negative review from 46k online players is like trying to move a number from one side of the equation to the other side without following any of the mathematical rules. They're not the same and that's what caused me to comment on it, among others as well.
As YOU can see, there is not only the view through rose-tinted fan glasses, but also the view of reality, even if that isn't nice. I too would have liked them to sell me a good CIV VII.
wat
And civ games are literally always review-bombed. The community is well known for it's toxicity.
It's probably better you don't get this because this game is released unfinished and it requires independent thinking and problem solving. Something that does not seem like your forte.
