Can this game really be fixed?
Fixing this game means revamping core game mechanics like Era system ,civilizations switching and etc.

It will become just CIV 6.2 (Which is cool)

You can only ever fix things that used to work.
This game isn't even fully developed.
It is released, its developed. I hate when people cry about early access games having bugs for years. As that is how dev cycles work, you don't fix little bugs when you know you will end up just breaking it again later with something else. But civ7 is released. It is out, and its blah

The game is not complete and will be dripfed over the next few years.
That's the difference between developed and FULLY developed.

What are you talking about? Steam refunds are not a satisfaction guarantee. They're a safety net in case you encounter technical issues, or a game is not as advertised, basically things that should be obvious within the two hour window.

And to answer the question posed by the OP, no, Firaxis is not going to suddenly remove core features that the entire game is built around, and it's ridiculous to think they ever would. It would be like asking them to patch Civ 5 to remove hexagon tiles, or update Civ 6 to remove districts. It ain't happening.

Then the game bombs and it will die within 6 months. the AGE/ERA mechanic destroys the purpose of building a civilization "to withstand the test of time."

Also, I did email 2K and demand a refund, they said "take it up with Steam because we don't handle the sales of the game." However you said it "a game is not as advertised."
First, no, this game is not going to bomb no matter how much you wish it.

Second, in what way is Civilization VII not as advertised?
I don't think there's anything that can be fixed. The game is built around this weird "era" thing. We can only hope for the next part (in 9 years) with hopefully other developers who know what has always been the heart and soul of CIV. Certainly not what is now being sold as "CIV VII"...

VII is a huge patch to fix the issues in VI.
Oddly enough, it's the patch that currently requires multiple patches.
I might call it a nested patch.

Not even patches is going to save this 'nested' patches because the ERA/AGE and force quit civilizations mechanic destroys this game.

It's gonna bomb. It's already not doing hot, even if it does hit an all-time high that approaches VI it's going to fall off in the next month like a lead weight. It just doesn't have the depth necessary to support the Civ community.
Can it be fixed? Possibly, yes.

Will they "fix" it for free or without charging an arm and a leg, like cyberpunk and no man's sky? You would have a better chance striking the lottery.
