FAFO.
Nobody scammed you, all the information about the game was present on the internet for months before release.
Next time control your basic impulses, and don't pre-order.
Please do go on about how the game is completely finished, a vast improvement over previous Civs and Take-Two delivered exactly what they promised.
But nobody can really say, there are no "solid" numbers for it.
You don't know how much of those seven years it was in development. We only first heard about it being worked on in 2023.
87% negative reviews is review bombing?
Anything is review bombing to them.
They could very well do the oppsite and review boost, but that would be "different"
Nice sarcasm but this game is clearly not being review bombed on Steam.
Those numbers do not prove anything. I mean, do you not understand that the MAJORITY of owners do not write reviews or haven't even written a review yet? On Steam here, there's only just over 27,000 reviews and how many copies of Civ 7 was sold? Right here...
"Civilization VII, the latest installment in the Civilization series, has sold over 70 million copies worldwide. The Civilization series as a whole has sold 40 million copies, with Civilization VI being the best-selling title in the franchise."
So unless a simple Google search lies, that is what i am getting. Even if it is only half of that, it is still impressive numbers and sets a record for the series.
So what you put in quotes there, I don't think you meant to.
Civ VII did not sell 70 million units. That's just not possible.
However, I agree that most owners (of Civ VII) do not write Steam reviews.

Civ series as a whole sold 40million copies worldwide
But somehow out of these 40 millions copies (forty million copies), civ 7, one game, the last installment, sold 70 million copies (seventy million),
Also, in the last sentence we can read that the number 6 was best selling, with logic above it surely sold approx 140 million of copies out of the 40 franchise sold.
I mean i might be wrong but math does not math here, at all.
