Great Britain not unlocking

Playing as Normans in Exploration Age, built 2 Fleet Commanders. No pop-up telling me that GB has been unlocked.

If you play Normans, isn’t great britain already ublocked by default ? So it’s normal you don’t have any pop up when building 2 fleet commanders ?

You could be right, I'll find out soon when I enter the next age. But I've just looked at the Unlock sector in game and GB has a tick against it so its looks likely. Well, maybe LOL

I played as Augustus the Norman and had the 2 fleet commanders. Great Britain was locked still. So... yeah.

I unlocked it by playing Ada Lovelace.

As far as I understand, any civ of the next age will remain locked if it's the only civilization available to another player. So is someone else playing Britain there in the modern age now?

FYI My unlock of Britain was single player with Ada Lovelace.
