Is it me or is there more natural wonders poping up

I was trying out carthage and as I explored i found 3 wonders on my home continent and 2 on the distant lands so far

With more variety of natural wonders, the map generation might allow more of them to spawn. 3 in homelands doesn't sound more than previously to me, though.

It's random. I played through the ancient era last night and only found one natural wonder.

It’s rather random. I was playing Isabella the other day and only found Redwood forest on my home continent. In the exploration era however I sailed west and found Great Barrier Reef and the volcanos one (forget the name) right in the same island chain. Other games I’ve found 3 on my home continent and 2 on the other.

It is not so many. I usually play small map and i didn´t remember that i found out more than 5 natural wonders. I would expect at least 2 times more.
