I know they will be forced to fix this. I know i´m not alone in feeling this way.
Boarders used to expand in the past in Civ4/5/6 but this one is... special in this regard.
Edit: now that I think of it saying "have you ever played a civ game before" to some one complaining about the boarders never expanding is kinda weird, I mean boarders basically always expanded before, hell you could buy tiles in civ6 *confusion*
and yea, I know they "expand" when your city does, but thats not really expanding, its just making sure the mega city always has a one hex boarder around it as it grows, not really the same thing.
Anyway, my last game I was at war with someone when we finally settled our differences and declared peace. Hilariously, he had one lone unit stuck in a single "no man's land" tile within my empire. Everywhere else was covered by my territory except that one, lonely tile. Of course you aren't allowed to cross another civ's borders without an open borders agreement or declaring war, so the unit was trapped. The borders of my settlements eventually expanded, and so he was automatically removed to neutral territory, but it gave me a laugh every time panned across the map and saw him standing there.
Its kinda funny, some one needs to do a re-skin and make this a judge dread game, Mega-City 1 over here and Mega-City 2 15 hexs away, between them... uninhabited wasteland...
nah, its only like one tile away from any given improvement from what I can tell, not even 3, not sure what the max is but its a real pain.
Well Ok, this will need confirmation. So you are saying that your borders expanded with 7 tiles between your cities? Can I please see a screenshot of this? It would make my day!
Edit: I think whats happening here is people are counting the centre of their city as "the city" and not including all the districts and improvements as part of it which is why we see weird claims about the boarder expanding so far, its a prospective thing.
