Why Are Major Civilizations Missing in Civ VII While Smaller Ones Are Included?
As a long-time Civilization fan, I find it surprising that Civ VII includes smaller civilizations and leaders, such as Buganda, while omitting historically significant ones like the Turks. With their immense influence across various periods—whether the Göktürks, Seljuks, or Ottomans—the Turkish civilization has shaped global history in ways that cannot be ignored.

It's puzzling to see major civilizations left out while lesser-known ones take the spotlight. Will we see the Turks added in future updates or DLCs? It would add a lot of depth and authenticity to the game.

Guaranteed.

You've got the six incoming with the Founders Edition. Plus whatever else they surprise you with before release, and in the coming years.

There will be a lot of them. This is only the tip of the iceberg.

You can't judge the game by the civilizations that you see two months before release.

It becomes impossible when everyone from everywhere is saying the exact same thing.

I'm hoping the Turks come in the modern era? Hopefully.

The same old, they'll sell most of the content in DLCs.

Yes, there will be a lot of dlc's, which is nothing new to any civ, or really game for that matter now. There will be quite a few civ's at release though, with quite a few leaders.

Yeah, I get that everyone might want their own civ included. But I truly believe the Turks are among the top 5 most important civilizations in history, yet there's still nothing about them in the game. If they add the Turks in a DLC, I'm definitely buying it! Also i hope they are gonna add Ataturk this time.

Small nations are not losers! Just because they don't bully others, or not capable of bullying, doesn't make them losers. Just saying.

Mughals are founded by a turkic dynasty and are in the game.
It's almost as if Firaxis is going out of their way to let me know to come back in five years to purchase the game.

Mughals are not exactly Turkic. Something like Mongol and Turkish collision. I want to see second biggest empire of the world. Ottomans. They have to put that at least.

So dissatisfying! So many tiny tribes or civs lost in history while disregarding major military or cultural powers.

I for one, want to lead ‘my’ nation through ages. I honestly can’t focus on tribes developing into other little-known tribes.

At least we should be able to create own leader, name him/her and lead own unique nation.
