I5 4590 vs I5 4690 minimum CPU requirement
My other specs include 32 Gigs of ram and 6 Gigs of video ram on a 1660 video card. Depending on where you look for comparisons on the internet, the functional difference is between 3% and 6% which doesn't seem all that substantial. I'm thinking I should be OK to run. Any comments whether it should be OK or not? Thanks in advance for your inputs.

My concern is turned based games aren't usually a hog except towards game end when there are so many processes needing updates every turn.
Chances are you are fine.
There are no instruction sets missing.
Why not just refund if it doesn't run?

That's what I figured. I'll take a chance - probably replacing my PC a little later on this year at some point and it won't be a problem. Thanks!

I don't think the op's spec would be an issue, the game can chug at times, but given it was fine on release and only chugs after being patched indicates they added the chugging by accident. So you should be fine with that cpu.
