I did my learning game with Augustus, and he seemed fun for really leaning in to tall play, especially paired with Rome.

Now I'm trying to get an economic victory, so I started with Amina with Aksum. Amina is good, nothing crazy though. Nice to have some extra gold.

Really looking forward to giving Friedrich, Napoleon, Machiavelli, and Ben Franklin a go.

Same as Oaks, i started with Augustus/Rome. Il always did my first game with Rome since Civ 1 ^^ it’s some sort of tradition.
Then went into Spain into Mexico for a fun tall play.

did a few games, with a couple of different leaders.
right now my favorite is Himiko queen of Wa.

Himoko queen of Wa allows you to support endeavours for free, making diplomacy a lot easier, and resulting in higher yields from diplomatic agreements. meanwhile she can spend her diplomatic favour on other stuff.
