is civ 6 soundtrack better?

i just started playing and only 6 hours in but none of the civ 7 music gets stuck in my head like the last game. I'm wondering if we can mod the music to bring back the old tunes. What does everyone else think? Maybe I just need some time to hear it a few more times. This is just my initial thought and I had high expectations on the music from the last game because i would sing it at work

I thought 5 had an excellent soundtrack but I didn't like Civ 6's so much. Don't get me wrong, I still loved it but it consists of several, beautiful arrangements of the same traditional song from each Civ whereas Civ had a series of non-culture songs that were played depending on whether you were at peace, at war, and some of those were absolutely beautiful.

I really liked the traditional music that Humankind had for each culture. Some of it was very 'interesting' to my ears but overall, it was all excellent.

I have to wait another day or so to hear it for myself so the answer is of interest to me too.

same here. absolutely loved civ5's soundtrack and the civ6 soundtrack was a disappointment compared to 5. it was still great, no doubt, but 5's soundtrack was just better to me personally.

that said, i'm absolutely loving civ7's soundtrack too now. i think its definitely better than 6's soundtrack

civ 6 is probably better, the problem with 7 is that there isn't enough variety and nothing that ties to your civs identity besides their main theme, nothing. i think i counted about 3 miscellaneous songs so far.

civ 7 has great civ themes (like mongolia, normans, pretty much everyone) but its not enough. civ 7's soundtrack is probably the worst in the series if we're not counting 1,2, and 3.
