Crises !!!
I have played with Crises on and Crises off, To play a game for three hours, building up my civilization and army, then the "age" changes, most of my army/navy wiped wiped out, forced to change my civ and start over ... very disappointing, BACK TO CIV 6 !

That's not a crisis (well, it is, but not affected by the on off switch. More crisis because designed that way). That's just what happens at the end of an era.
that age change is a killer. it don't even let you keep your increased settlement count.
really makes everything you just did in the previous era feel pointless
Game play is the issue, I never played for a cheap quick win, I enjoyed building and developing a civilization founded on a leader, his/her civ, and its historical context, researching and developing tech, building a military and government for the long haul. I am 68 and have been paying Civ for a very long time ... this version is very disappointing...
Ok, I read and listened ... I played the game through the crises mode and the age change. I do agree that Civ 6 can become functionary deep into the game in that the AI Civs tend to become stagnate and the end is inevitable. A restart via a new age and crises does keep the challenge alive. That being said, I do wish we could maintain consistency with the civ and leader throughout the game...
