Best CIV ever

What would it be then ?

I read a lot of praise for 3 and somehow 4.

What is your take ??

By far, it would be Civ 5 if there were only a 64-bit version of the client.

Without it, it's impossible to play long rounds with 16+ civs on oversized maps.
I swear, I would be willing to pay hundreds of euros just to finally play my favorite game the way I want.

Unfortunately, the technical limitations of the 32-bit version (a maximum of 4GB RAM usage) ruin it for me and many others.

IV was excellent and if it could be updated with hexes, modern graphics, and QOL features, it would be the best.

But for now, V is the top. Where VII sits is too early to say for me. The age transition feature is a little jarring but maybe I just have to get used to it.

I would say 3, 5, 2, 6, 4. Never played the original so can't rate it.

Best Civ was and STILL is Civ 5 for me. Sad...

2s the best. 1s a fond memory. I liked 4 a lot, 5 was good. 6 was good with some caveats. (too many dls and things you had to buy for the game) and I don't pay for dlc so just a game with stuff I couldn't play or use soo maybe 6 was the worst due to that. I don't remember what one 3 was ??? Civ 7 will be between civ 4 and 5 in it's current state. If they add one more turn and the modern age then I'd maybe put it at the top maybe under 2.

This game is incredibly good, the vast variety of artwork and variations within your armies are exceptional, the look and feel is spot on. The look and creation of monuments is excellent, diplomatic components should be more be more indepth, and the maps need more variety and should be bigger, otherwise it’s absolutely outstanding!

If we are going off of looks and not gameplay then yeah, civ 7 is top notch. But I'm guessing he is talking about gameplay and not looks??

Never underestimate curb appeal to bring someone in and keep them engaged.

I have to say, with buildings being housed in quarters and how the cities just sort of 'flow' together it does give the game just the slightest touch of a city building flair and a 'That looks cool, I made that' sense of ownership.

For me personally CIV 7. I never enjoyed 5 or 6 despite having complete editons. But picked this up after work today and couldn’t stop playing it.

This game is a little worse than Civ 5 but a lot better than Civ 6.

Maybe the expansions / updates can boost it above 5.

I love Civ 5 but this new Civ 7 is going to become hugh after some updates.
