multiplayer desynch/reload every turn?
anyone else having this issue? my friend loads in fine in like 30 seconds but i guess my computer chugs along and it can take a few minutes before i load in. having this happen every turn was getting frustrating. we tried saving and then reloading the game but same issue. does anyone know how to fix this? while i like single player the big draw for civ games for me is playing with friends so this is pretty frustrating

Big draw for me is multiplayer is well, insane that they're charging so much for a game that can't even host a solid multiplayer connection.

I played 5 hours last night with my wife on LAN multiplayer and didnt have a single desync.

we were both on the same wifi. had to use the code to connect but it worked.

Playing multiplayer for like 5 hours, I had 2 game crashes and 2 instances of the game reloading/syncing.

Hey are any of you also having an issue in multiplayer with some players unable to negotiate peace with a country you're at war with? You literally get stuck at war for entire age. My friend who hosted did not have this issue and is able to negotiate.

i played with a friend last night whitout a problem, but tonight we have desync every new turn

Had no issues with negotiation. sounds like a weird bug. next time i'd say try saving and then reloading the game and see if that fixes. i had an issue where i couldn't end my turn because the button said respond to message or something like that. when the other civ sends a proposal. i would click but it would never let me see what they were asking for. i had to reload and save in order to move on.
Currently having the same issue with a constant desync/resync loop every turn. Here's to hoping it gets fixed in due time.

This was happening to my Husband and I during a LAN game with a hard connection, but only once we got into the modern age.

Played 5h same wIred LAN 1 desync, considering its probably just CIV6 under the hood essentially when it comes to network code stuff im not suprised.

Honestly thought that this would be a thing of the past one day.,

My friends and I didn't stick around long enough in Civ VI to really experience the desyncing to much, but it did happen. We have played lots of Civ V and generally around turn 50-60 you start getting desyncs every five or six turns and it gets progressively worse as the game goes on. (The main reason why most of our games never were finished)

We all got CIV VII looking to play and literally every single game we are getting desyncing on every turn before the 5th turn of the game. We pushed through the issues in Civ V. I don't know if we will for Civ VII. With it having been an ongoing issue for over a decade now the fact that it's still there despite being two games away from where the issues started, all of us have replaced our machines several times over and internet speed has only gotten more faster and reliable and it's still an ongoing issue makes it pretty frustrating and as much as I want to focus on the positive parts of the game despite the issues, it's really hard when I can't even experience five turns without dealing with the nonstop desync headaches.

Moved to Vulkan instead of DX12 and not a single desync (Internet MP) compared to DX12 which was desync every turn.

UPDATE: Launch the game in Vulkan, every player has to do the same too.
No de-syncs minus 1 or 2 over like 100 turns.

We had the same issue and followed the work around (Someone saves the game, Quits Civ entirely to desktop, start game, load save, then other players join to lobby) this seemed to work for us (though can't for the life of me think why
