Antiquity ends too quickly
Is it just me, or does the Antiquity Age just end too quickly?

I tried to go through the advance settings to set it to long, as well as play on Marathon. But it's a struggle to complete any of the legacies other than 2 wonders.

Yeah, Im not digging the new age system. the idea of building things or researching tech that get wiped is bothersome and stops me from building out

Standard pace is the only balanced pace as of released. I would not recommend playing marathon or epic right now, because it seems to be heavily unbalanced.

You can prolong ages in the customized setup

It's hard to say if it is slightly overtuned - I think it's developer intent to be difficult to reach the golden age LP marker and not something that you will hit in every age and playthrough.

If you mean selecting epic or marathon speeds that's badly unbalanced as of now. Hopefully fixed in the future.

And it will not help - age still too short on marathon speed. Also town building and converting too expencive on marathon speed.

I experienced the same with Marathon speed in my first game. Or attempt, because I quit after 100 turns, being more than half-way through the era with one city, one town and something like 5 techs.

I restarted at Normal and with maximised era length (because meanwhile I discovered such a setting) and then it went okay, I completed the antiquity just after I finished my seventh wonder - so it was a bit on the easy side, bearing in mind I'm new. But the balance seems mostly okay, although none of the AI fellows on my continent managed to complete their legacy (one was close, at 6 wonders).
Yeah, it seems to me that the game is not balanced for Marathon. I've tried what Das said.

Standard works well.

if you do so and select marathon speed it's stile too short, the age finsih when all player just reach step 4 max of a victory requierement ...
the scalling don't seems to be enough
Hi, my English is unfortunately very bad, so I had the text translated by a machine:

I absolutely match. I also think that the game speed "Marathon" is particularly badly balanced.

An example: (This is now theoretical)
Each teammate chooses a legacy path that he is driving. At each stage you get an epoch progress of 15%, with 6 paths it is 90%. Since you have already reached the remaining 10% beforehand, the epoch is already over. Even if you consistently follow a path, it is questionable whether you ever reach the end. To do this, you just have to take care of it.
THAT CAN'T BE.

Can make the ages longer in options.
Sorry I made a mistake, there are only 4 paths, but it stays that way.

But now I have noticed that "epic" progresses much more slowly.

The new "marathon" is "epic"
