Wonders suck
I generally enjoyed my first run, but there were some issues (I did actually like the changing epochs mechanic).
Wonders feel way less impactful and less fun to build I am generally missing the interconnection of Civ 6 where most of the buildings, for example, had wide and deep effects on game play (markets gave you money, but also a trade route that you could use for money but also for production and food and much more).
It is more straight forward for new players, I guess, though.

The most wonders are very strange. I missed great wonders like Stonehenge or the real 7 worldwonders.

Hmm, I do not really care about the optics and what wonders we are building. Actually pretty fun to see some new wonders. They made the wonders pretty similar to Humankind where those wonders were just massive production/culture/money hubs and nothing more. The implementation is way better in Civ 7 that it was in Humankind but they do not feel special to me like in previous games.

In Antiquity, in some cases they feel like a waste of a tile in the capital and feel obligatory for a cultural LP

I think the idea of making them less impactful was to gaurd against having a strategy that hinged on having a specific wonder - but I do think they need some other mechanic or adjacency bonus to give them more 'umph'

There are neat events on some of them. Like the Colosseum being repurposed in Exploration for a tile bonus

I am interested in the historical content. It makes a difference to me whether it is a great human construction work or a small building of some civilization. For my taste, they have been inspired a little too much by Humankind. And that is sad for the market leader CIV.

Which one do you mean?

I do not think they were "inspired" by Humankind. The design phase pretty much ongoing when humankind came out. I think they made the right alteration based on humankinds failure if you ask me (espicall the chaning civ machanics work way better imho)

i dont know, there are a few wonders i really like. others i dont really care about.

the ones i like the most are:
Angkor Wat, it really helps with specialists gameplay
Colossus, it basically the replacement of a free trade route

i think that the biggest reason why i am not to happy with wonders is because in this game you do more with your tiles, so them taking up a whole tile is a much bigger deal. the payoff is often not worth the tile it costs to place it down.

It shows a movie just like Civ 6. You don't see them in MP games though, if that's all you've been playing?

Civ 7 wonders do skip a lot of brick by brick built animations and just do three phase built animations which does feel less interesting than 6.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info about the single versus multiplayer animations.

Bingo

I almost think we should be able to build these further away from currently developed borders. In Civ 6 it wasnt as big of a deal because we could always buy tiles
